The Holmberg House, was built in 1914 by Fredrik Holmberg, the first Dean of OU’s College of Fine Arts, and is located in the DeBarr Historic District, the only historic district in Norman listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2014, we are celebrating the homes 100th Anniversary.
While we are in the heart of Campus Corner and nestled among all the activities, we offer a peaceful serenity with our koi pond, incredible front porch and relaxing accommodations. We are steps away from the University and we are fascinated with our guests reasons for traveling to Norman. All guests are treated to a three-course gourmet breakfast, with breakfast served on the guest’s schedule. A “to-go” breakfast is offered for travelers with early departure times. We also accommodate food preferences/allergies.
We enjoy helping our guests celebrate weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, family reunions and other events for up to 50 guests. The option of renting all the guest rooms and the whole house is available.
While we try to treat all our guests like celebrities, we have served as hosts for some national and international personalities. All of our guests are celebrating special events! Whether they are parents, dropping off a student for college, OU Home Football Games, job interviews, guest speaking appearances, or whatever the occasion, we try to make them feel celebrated.
We are regaled by many as the ‘best front porch in Norman,’ so our guests take time to watch the world go by or join in as thousands of fans come to town for those famous OU football weekends. The B&B is within close distance to all OU sporting events, two museums and OU’s fine arts performing venues. Our guests find the campus, Campus Corner and downtown Norman a great place to walk, jog or ride a bike.
As a small B&B, we offer our guests special, undivided attention. Our rooms include the romance of a 100-year-old home with all the modern technologies and provide an oasis get-away in the heart of Campus Corner. Owning a 100 year old home with hundreds of travelers each year has also enlightened us to the importance of conservation. While we recycled before, our hearts and eyes have been opened as to what we can all do to make our earth last much longer. So we ask our guests to help us with this endeavor. We are pleased to share this incredible craftsman style home with all who enter through that big oversized door. Holmberg House has an incredible legacy and wonderful memories to share. Come join us!
Blessings & Safe Travels!
